Your email stays yours.

Why we use your information

With your consent, we use your email address to confirm your subscription and send the daily newsletter, including occasional clearly labelled product recommendations or promotions. You join the mailing list only after confirming ownership of your address. Each edition includes an unsubscribe link. To join again, submit a new request and confirm the new email; an old confirmation link cannot restore your subscription.

What we keep

Resend holds confirmed email addresses and manages delivery, unsubscribe and suppression records. Our database records the consent wording and version, signup time and source, confirmation status, and the corresponding Resend contact identifier. Pending email addresses are encrypted.

Application rate limits use keyed identifiers for addresses and IPs. They help prevent abuse without storing a plain IP address in the rate-limit table. Hosting and email providers also operate their own service logs.

Who processes your information

We use Resend for email, Vercel for this website and website statistics, and Neon for the subscription and consent database. These providers receive the information needed to operate their part of the service. The subscription database runs in Frankfurt, Germany (Neon, AWS eu-central-1), and the website’s server functions run in Frankfurt (Vercel fra1).

Website statistics

We use cookie-free Vercel Web Analytics on the signup and inbox-instructions pages to count visits and improve signup. It runs without asking and is separate from newsletter consent. We do not send email addresses, form contents or confirmation tokens to analytics. We remove query strings and fragments from measured page addresses, and exclude external referring addresses that contain paths or query strings.

Vercel uses a request-derived visitor hash that is discarded after 24 hours and provides aggregate reports, including broad device and location information. We do not enable advertising profiles, persistent visitor identification or analytics cookies. To opt out, turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser; either signal disables measurement. See Vercel’s Web Analytics privacy information for its processing details.

We also count confirmed registrations from our existing subscription records to understand signup performance. These counts stay in the private admin page and are not sent to website analytics. They do not use cookies or add information to your device.

How long we keep it

Confirmation links expire after 48 hours. An unconfirmed signup becomes eligible for deletion after seven days; cleanup runs when signup or incoming-mail requests are processed, or during operator maintenance. Expired rate-limit records are cleared during the same cleanup.

Confirmed consent records remain until you request deletion or the newsletter closes. An unsubscribe stops future editions through Resend. A deletion request also removes the Resend contact and clears local address data and consent text. A minimal keyed record remains to prevent an old confirmation link from restoring a deleted subscription.

Your choices

You can withdraw consent using any edition’s unsubscribe link. Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your data, or a restriction on its use. You may also raise a concern with Sweden’s privacy authority, IMY.

Resend states that email content and service logs are retained for 30 days and stored in the United States. Its security and data-processing information describes its transfer arrangements. The sending region does not determine where data is stored. Updated 27 October 2026.
